On the James River Park System, cross the scenic footbridge that leads you to the small island. Belle Isle is a small area of land that is known for being surrounded by rocks that have been smoothed by the water so that they are flat in shape. Many locals come here to sunbathe on the rocks in the summer months. Belle Isle is also a great place to mountain bike.
Take some time on the walking trails around the island that take you through wild woodlands.
Hardywood Park Craft Brewery
For those interested in tasting some fresh brews, make your way to Hardywood Park, one of the most famous breweries in Richmond. Here you will find a delicious tasting room.
